Agentree
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Agentree collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our website, desktop app, and related services.
Effective date: April 19, 2026
Agentree is operated by Towards AGI Private Limited.
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Agentree website, desktop application, and related hosted services. It covers information we collect directly from you, from your use of the product, and from third parties that help us operate the service.
Information We Collect
Account and identity information
When you sign in, we may collect identifiers such as your name, email address, profile image, and authentication provider user ID. In the current product implementation, authentication is handled through Kinde.
Workspace and repository information
When you connect a project, we may collect and store workspace names, local folder or repository paths, git metadata such as base commit SHA and branch references, and the structure of your agent tree so the product can restore context, track branches, and support comparison and merge workflows.
Prompts, outputs, and uploaded content
We collect the content you submit through the product, including prompts, comments, attachments, knowledge-base uploads, annotations, citations, and agent-generated output. We may also store execution metadata such as tool calls, run status, token counts, and event history tied to a workspace or node.
Local desktop data
The desktop app may store information on your device, including local authentication session data, local telemetry and run snapshots, repo and worktree paths, and unsynced local messages needed to support the app experience. Some of this data remains on your device until you clear app data or uninstall the app.
Usage, diagnostics, and analytics
We may collect product-usage and diagnostic data such as app version, screens viewed, onboarding steps, workspace creation events, agent run lifecycle events, session information, and device or browser context. In the current implementation, the website and desktop app may use Amplitude, and session replay may be enabled on a sampled basis.
Waitlist and communications data
If you join a waitlist, request early access, or contact us, we collect the information you provide, such as your email address and any message you send us.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- authenticate users and secure accounts;
- operate the desktop app, website, and hosted APIs;
- create and maintain workspaces, agent trees, branches, and merges;
- process prompts, attachments, and other content you submit;
- run AI, search, and retrieval features you request;
- improve product performance, reliability, and usability;
- measure adoption and diagnose bugs, abuse, and service failures;
- communicate with you about updates, support, and access requests; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information in the following situations:
- With service providers that help us run the product, such as identity, hosting, storage, analytics, search, and infrastructure vendors.
- With AI and model-routing providers when necessary to process prompts, attached files, or related context you submit. In the current implementation, this may include OpenRouter and downstream model providers selected through that service.
- With storage providers when you upload attachments or knowledge-base files. In the current implementation, private file uploads may be stored in Cloudflare R2.
- With authentication providers that manage sign-in and identity flows.
- If required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, users, or the service.
- In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.
AI and Repository Content
Agentree is designed to work with project code, prompts, and agent output. When you use AI-powered features, the content needed to fulfill your request may be transmitted to third-party model, search, or retrieval providers. You should only connect repositories and submit content that you are authorized to use with those providers.
Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain legitimate business records. Retention periods vary by data type. Account and workspace records may remain until you delete them or close your account, and some information may persist in backups or logs for a limited period.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information we hold about you, or to object to or limit certain processing. California residents may also have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. To make a request, contact us using the address below.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws than your jurisdiction.
Children
Agentree is not directed to children under 13, and you may not use the service if you are under the minimum age required to consent to the service in your jurisdiction.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and may provide additional notice where required.
